There are three styles of rooms to choose from on Long Island including the Lodge Rooms, Garden Rooms and Beachfront Rooms. The Lodge Rooms are possibly for the discerning traveller that doesn't really have a lot of many to spend but still wants to experience all that the Island has to offer. Set in the garden, the lodge rooms provide budget accommodation for your island escape. They feature different bedding configurations, ceiling fans, shared bathroom facilities and a common room with TV and tea and coffee making facilities. The Garden Rooms include your own private balcony with garden views, radio, double bed, internet access, air-conditioning, refrigerator, tea and coffee facilities, ensuite, daily servicing and TV. But if you want to be right on the beach with magnificent views then book one of the Beachfront Room set within meters of the beach and provides the perfect spot for viewing the sunset over the reef in Happy Bay.

Coral reefs surround the issland so snorkels, Fins and other equipment is available, a sight not to be missed! From Hamilton Island, Cruise Whitsundays, operates regular services from the Great Barrier Reef airport on Hamilton island with a direct catamaran cruise to long island for its visitors that take approximately 35 minutes. You also have the option to make your way by air, coach, rail or car to Airlie beach where from Shute Harbour, at Airlie a ferry cruises can be organised to take you to Long Island for you holiday destination. All of the coach service run direct routes in Airlie Beach, though if you decide to travel via air you will land at Proserpine which is approximately 30 minutes out of Airlie Beach and there will be a shuttle bus waiting your arrival to take you to Shute Harbour for your connecting ferry cruise.
