When peace and quiet is what Mum and Dad desire our experienced Kids Club staff are at hand to entertain with plenty of great activities for the children. They will enjoy an array of supervised activities ranging from a treasure hunt, arts and crafts, face painting, fish/bird feeding and much, much more!!! Our professional qualified Kids Club staff care for children from 4 to 14 years of age all year round. There is no charge for this service, it is provided to ensure everyone can enjoy all the wonders of Long Island Resort. Children will form friendships with other children affording parents the freedom to enjoy the peace and tranquillity this island paradise provides. Parents can even enjoy a quiet dinner with Kids Club catering for kids at dinner time too. In fact, the kids will be having so much fun, parents can simply disappear!
On the island you can choose from an array of different activities, so whether you are up for just lazing around the pool or getting your blood pumping you will find something that sparks your interest on Long Island. Have a game of table tennis, or go for a walk through the national park lands, try your hand at beach volley, do some bird feeding or fish feeding or put your sneakers on for a game of tennis. There is also coconut throwing, games room, spa, sauna, paddle skies, paddle boats, snorkelling, jet ski hire, parasailing, tube rides, mini golf and dinghy hire if you fancy some fishing nearby. Or if you just want to take it easy pool up a pew in one of the beachside hammocks, or lounge chair by the pool.... People of all ages are taken care of on Long Island!
You may decide you want to take a day trip somewhere to perhaps, Whitehaven beach, the outer reef or Reefworld so the kids can really experience the wonders of the Coral Sea. With so many different activities and things to see and do your holiday on Long Island will be a memorable on for everyone.
Flights from Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane with Jetstar and Virgin Blue fly to the Hamilton Island airport on a daily basis where a connecting boat will take you to Shute Harbour at Airlie Beach where you will connect with another vessel which travels you to the island. When flying into Proserpine just 30 minutes out of Airlie Beach, with either Jetstar or Virgin Blue, a shuttle bus will meet you to drive you to Shute Harbour to jump on board one of Fantasea Cruise boats to take you across to Long Island. Driving can take approximately 13 hours with no stopping when coming from Brisbane, and all train services run just out of Airlie Beach and drop you at the train station and the coach service drop you directly where you need to go in Airlie Beach.
