Long Island Resort Weather
The Whitsundays has a welcoming tropical weather pattern with an estimate average 8.25 hours of sunshine daily and mean annual temperatures of 24° - 27° max. Making this the most perfect conditions for you holiday in the sun.
The Whitsunday Islands are located directly behind the Great Barrier Reef which makes this area sheltered all year round and creating perfect conditions for sailing and diving.
There are two seasons in north Queensland which are the dry and the wet seasons. The wet season is from December to March and for the rest of the year this is classed as the dry season. During the dry season there really isn't a lot of rain, just sunny warm days with a few scattered clouds. And even though the term 'wet season' may suggest a lot of rain there really isn't much around at this time of year either. There can be a few tropical showers but it is really just to cool things down.
