Peppers Palm Bay Airport

The Whitsundays are centrally located on the Queensland coast and in the heart of the World Heritage Listed Great Barrier Reef, approximately 1160km north of Brisbane and 737km south of Cairns. Peppers Palm Bay Resort does not have its own airport unlike other island destinations but you can still access the island by flying into surround airports and connecting with a vessel transfers.

One of the airports that you can fly into and is serviced daily by Jetstar and Virgin Blue, is located at Hamilton Island. Once you land at the Great Barrier Reef airport on Hamilton Island you can be transferred by Helicopter or Seaplane direct to Peppers Palm Bay, or alternatively take the Fantasea Ferry to Shute Harbour which take approximately 45 minutes then transfer to Peppers Palm Bay Long Island via the property's own vessel 'Jetstream'.

Or perhaps you would like to fly into the Proserpine airport which is located just outside of Airlie Beach. This airport has flights arriving daily with Virgin and Jetstar if you are travel from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne or with Qantas if you are travelling from Cairns. You can also have the option to be transferred by helicopter or seaplane from this airport direct to Peppers Palm Bay or have a connecting shuttle bus, taxi or luxury limousine to drive you to Shute Harbour. From Shute Harbour, guests are transferred by private launch to Peppers Palm Bay using the property's own vessel 'Jetstream'. This 20-minute transfer operates 5 times daily.

Queensland Rail Traveltrain services include the Tilt and Sunlander Train, linking Proserpine to the coastal centres between and including Brisbane and Cairns. Connecting coaches operate to Airlie Beach and Shute Harbour.

The Bruce Highway is a part of Australia's national road network. It links Queensland's major coastal cities and towns, including Proserpine. Just north of Proserpine lies the turn off east to the 2 communities of Airlie Beach and Shute Harbour, and Hydeaway Bay and Dingo Beach, while further north the Bruce Highway reaches the town of Bowen. Major Coach Operators include the Whitsundays in their regular scheduled services.
